On the Place Brugmann, there is a new spot opened by Thierry Naoum (Rouge Tomate): Chez Montaigne.
In this modern and bright space, I like to meet up for a tasty lunch, and to choose delicious dishes on the inventive French menu ( lobster carpaccio, avocado, yuzu jam, fresh coriander & pink pepper; beetroot carpaccio, Saint Maure goat cheese, balsamic-vanilla, nuts and golden watercress; beef tartare Hugo Desnoyers, caper, shallot, yellow quail, herb salad and sourdough toast … )
Chez Montaigne was in my opinion the right kind of place to be opened in that neighbourhood: an elegant canteen with fine cuisine, to satisfy all generations.
I like to go there for lunch, but you can go there at any time of the day. And you can also buy Basque products and caviar to take away.
