I introduce you the brand new restaurant about which every gourmet is talking at the moment: “Emily Ristorante” opened by Degand House, our Brussels famous tailor.
Emily ristorante is a very unique place that doesn’t look like any other place in Brussels. Because Pierre Degand wanted to aim high, very high, and has put all his expertise and perfectionism in this project.
The result is wonderful. This run down building has been renovated from every corner with a lot of taste: the furniture came straight from the Parisian Crillon Hotel, the walls were made of wooden mosaic, and all table details were carefully selected…
The attention is paid to every details, even to the waiters’ cufflinks and butter that are stamped with the initials of Emily, the owner’s daughter. Some people are even talking about embroidered napkins with the best customers’ initials… As you can see, Emily Ristorante gathers luxury and tradition.
Emily ristorante serves also exceptional food. To do so, Pierre Degand has chosen the former Hotel Amigo Bocconi Restaurant’s chef Vincenzo Regine. Of course some people will say that the prices are high, which it’s not totally wrong: the 3-course lunch is 45 euros, the 4-course Tasting Menu 75 euros, the 6-course Tasting menu 95 euros, and the Discovery Chef’s Menu in the Kitchen 90 euros.
But Emily ristorante has not disappointed us on a culinary level: dry aged beef carpaccio was wonderful, and fregola pasta with eggplant and scamorza were divine. And believe me, do not leave Emily ristorante without tasting the gianduja dessert: a chocolate cake and hazelnut fondant… delicate and full of taste…
