My feeling ?
Sra Bua is the little sister of Kiin Kiin in Copenhagen restaurant the chef Henrik Andersen Hyde, who is the first chef to have associated molecular and Thai cuisines.
In an impressive decor in the Siam Kempinski hotel – a bit cold – Sra Bua offers a funny experience around the local cuisine. The scallops tartare presented in a lotus flower , and the sausages “on the back of a tuk tuk ” under a smoke bell were delicious and inventive.
The (too) many dishes, well executed such as the iced lobster curry and the shiitake broth and foie gras wantans, were satisfying my taste buds.
What is missing in my opinion is soul and warmth from the service, and a more subtle touch of molecularity in the plates.
