Next to the Parvis Saint Pierre , there is Caffè al dente. I could talk about this place for hours.

Caffè al dente represents many things for me : a place where I would have a spritz after a long day, where I would grab a panini for lunch, and from where I would come back with cookbooks and scamorza to impress my lover for dinner. And a place where I always want to end up in any occasion.

The short Osteria menu changes daily, depending on the fresh products . And Federico will explain it to you with the charming Roman accent, while you will watch the cook garnishing plates in the kitchen.

As the place is fancy and delicious, it is important to book a table in advance if you want to have dinner at the Osteria part. And if you did not reserve, you can also try at the last minute to slip over at the two counters or at the Enoteca to have the pasta of the day .

Caffè al dente is definitely a nice, friendly and modern address with authentic “cucina della Nonna” at affordable prices .

Simple, nice and good … guess what: I love it!

I like:

  1. The kindness of the team;
  2. The fresh pasta perfectly cooked ;
  3. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere;
  4. The delicious Italian wines , and good advice ;
  5. The three parts of the place: the Negozio , the Enoteca and the Osteria.
