Near Flagey, in this neighborhood that keeps sprouting new addresses, there is the new girly tea room La Mercerie.

Open from Friday to Sunday, La Mercerie is a magnificent baroque painting, with gilded, and lovely cherubs. It plunges us into Anne Goldschmidt’s fantasy land.

You can go there for a breakfast, a light lunch or an afternoon tea.

The menu gathers culinary discoveries Anne hearted and collected around the world : the London Ottolenghi salad, the bagel Lox from NYC, the poached egg and Serrano ham toast from Berkeley…

The atmosphere is sweet and original, and the hot chocolate marshmallows is to die for.

I love :

  1. The homemade decoration made with passion by the artist and designer;
  2. The arrival in Brussels of a real tea room where you can meet at any time of day ;

I like less:

That, as the place is only open 3 days a week, the service was a bit slow.
